Thanks Giving Sunday

“Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.” Philippians 4:4 (KJV)

What is Thanksgiving

It is a command to rejoice. I like the Message translation of the same verse; it says, “Celebrate God all day, every day. I mean, revel in him!” That is deep. The scripture did not say to celebrate the things God has done. Instead, celebrate God.

What should I be Thankful For?

Do you know that celebrating God Himself and celebrating the works of God are two different things? It’s okay to celebrate His works, but the most important thing is to celebrate Him irrespective of what He has or has not done. Celebrate Him for being God. Think of His numerous names and worship Him.

Should I Thank God?

You may be in pain right now. Things may not have gone the way you wanted and some expectations may not have been met, but in spite of it all, celebrate Him. Celebrate Him for He is good. Everything about God is good and according to Romans 8:28, He has a way of turning things around for your good.

Right Attitude

Rejoicing in the Lord always will produce the right attitude. Rejoicing produces the right atmosphere around you. Don’t be consumed by the challenges you are facing; instead, focus on God and rejoice.

On Sunday 18th December, 2016 We had our Thanksgiving service. As a church we danced and thanked the Lord for spreading us abroad on all sides.

It was just as the one leper that returned and thanked Jesus and he was made whole.

See Sights and Sounds.
